Model: Grande Reverso Ultra Thin 1931
Instantly transporting you to lush green polo fields, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Grande Reverso Ultra Thin "Tribute to 1931" is truly an ode to the Art Deco beginnings of this revolutionary reference. This tribute encompasses the simple, elegant, and perhaps more than anything, versatile design of the Reverso. The glossy black dial gives this Tribute Reverso a very distinguished look, further enhanced by the geometric symmetry of the creamy luminova hour markers and bâton hands. The watch is further complimented by its green cordovan leather strap, hand-made by the famous Casa Fagliano, boot-makers to the Argentine National Polo Team. Although the Polo Field lies at the core of the Reverso, one is not required to be on horseback to wear this iconic watch. The present model comes in excellent condition, and is further accompanied by its Jaeger-LeCoultre International Warranty, product literature, fitted presentation box, and outer packaging.
Model: RM028 Diver's Watch
Turning Richard Mille's well established design language on its head, the RM028 and its predecessor the 25, were iconoclastic by reverting to a round case with rotating bezel. In true RM style the 28 is no ordinary diver, built from lightweight titanium and with RM's signature ribbed case, even the bezel has been optimised with a clever, two-button lock for security. Fulfilling true dive watch criteria with its broad luminous hands, running seconds and 300m water resistance, the watch still manages to retain the elegantly curved caseback Mille is best known for ensuring exceptional comfort despite its 47mm diameter. This example, from 2021 is complete with the original RM box, warranty certificate and literature from 2021 and comes with two water-proof rubber straps, one in bright orange, the other in black.
Model: Day-Date 40 "Anniversary"
Famously known as Rolex's flagship model, the Day-Date remains the icon that has witnessed some of the greatest moments in history. Having only ever been cased in precious metals (with the exception of a handful of prototypes), it is also the only model to sport the prestigious President bracelet. Exuding prestige, this 40mm example is crafted in solid 18ct Everose gold, and pairs most beautifully with the olive-green sunburst dial, announced for the Day-Date's 60th anniversary. Housing the latest generation of ultra efficient self-winding movements, this 228235 is powered by the automatic 3255 calibre, with a 70 hour power reserve and water-proof protection up to 100m. As handsome as it is technically impressive, this charming Day-Date is sure to bring joy to its wearer, and comes complete with the full complement of Rolex warranty card, box and booklets.
A. Lange & Söhne
Model: Double Split
In 2004, A. Lange & Söhne introduced the Double Split. Marking an important moment for the history of horology, the A. Lange & Söhne Double Split is the first wristwatch in the world to feature a flyback chronograph with double rattrapante mechanism. Housed in the large 43mm diameter case lies the metropolis of the in-house caliber. L001.1. At immediate glance, the uninitiated would think that the Double Split is an oversized variant of the Datograph due to its similar case design and dial layout. However, the Double Split exceeds all expectations. Fitted with a split seconds hand, the chronograph is able to perform lap time measurements and time comparisons. With a movement comprised of 465 individual components, the Double Split is one of the most complicated movements ever crafted. Found complete with full accessories including International Guarantee and period DVD.
Renowned for relentless innovation, in the DB28GS, Denis Flageollet and his team have produced one of the most ground-breaking divers watches ever made. The watch features a mechanically powered, internal lighting system that illuminates both the dial and the rotating bezel, the "Grand Bleu"is nothing short of ingenious. Hosting a full gamut of DB's patented and signature innovations from the floating lugs, triple pare-chute shock absorption and aerodynamic balance wheel, there is a strong case to be made that this represents the perfect distillation of De Bethune's first 20 years. Supremely comfortable in Grade 5 Titanium and black Zirconium, the present example is found in unworn condition, and complete with the original DB box, certificate and accessories.
Model: Elegante 48mm Titalyt
F.P. Journe’s “Élégante” redefined the concept of a luxury quartz watch. Allowing time to effectively stop and start again, the tortue-shaped watch has both a standby and an active mode. The motion detector allows the hands to change automatically to the correct time as soon as the watch is in movement. Furthermore, the watch boasts an incredible autonomy of 8 to 10 years in daily use, and 18 years in standby mode, ensuring practicality, as well as elegance, in daily wear. The present example, in excellent condition, is further accompanied by the F. P. Journe International Guarantee, polishing cloth, outer packaging and fitted presentation box. Three brightly coloured straps in pop-y orange, deep blue and olive green are also included, offering further versatility and charm to this horological marvel.
A. Lange & Söhne
Model: Little Lange 1
The notion of a time capsule in collecting is perhaps used too frequently, but when a rare and iconic reference presents itself with all the early original manufacture's specifications and full accessories it deserves such a mantle. Found here with its original 36mm 18k yellow gold case, early case back engraving and small "MIG" dial the present little Lange embodies so many of the qualities that make early Lange so fascinating for collectors of neo-vintage watches. Added to this rarely seen specification are a full compliment of accessories including International Guarantee and Original Bill of Sale. So impressed upon initial inspection the current example of the reference 111.021 featured in the Phillips exhibition, "Made in Germany, a tribute to early Lange 1 and Datograph" in March 2022.
A. Lange & Söhne
Model: 1815 Rattrapante
One of only 100 pieces created in Lange's proprietary "Honey Gold" alloy, this 1815 Hommage to F.A. Lange also bears a distinctive frosted finish across the 36 jewelled L101.2 calibre split second movement.Sporting a rich black dial with warm gold printing and subtle red accented quarter markers the 425.050 has a strong vintage feel but retains its resolutely modern Germanic style.
